Crown Court was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was

produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be

played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made

up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the

verdict.



THE THUNDERBOLTS: EASTER v GOSS



Synopsis: Matters between a village and a neighbouring council estate are brought to a head when a local policeman is

accused of beating up Benjamin Easter, the leader of the estate's Thunderbolts bikers gang, before charging him with

assault. Benjamin was acquitted of the charge but is now suing the policeman for malicious prosecution.
