This is the only version that has actually worked, so many thanks.

Bought a brand new notebook with Windows 8.1 on it which I wanted to wipe and install Windows 7. Didn't make a note of the product key though. Had some issues with Windows 7, so decided to revert back to 8.1.

I wasn't given any product key information with the new laptop, nor did it come with an official disk hence I have to revert to cracking it.

MS really need to make sure that laptop sellers/manufactures give owners of the PC's/laptops the actual key so that should they have to wipe and re-install, they have the correct key to do so.
