The Complete Sherlock Holmes: All 4 Novels and 56 Short Stories is a collection all the Sherlock Holmes novels written by author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sherlock Holmes, the protagonist of the novel, is a fictional detective who uses his reasoning ability, disguise, forensic science and remarkable observation techniques to solve difficult cases.

The stories of Sherlock Holmes are usually narrated by Holmes' friend and biographer, Dr. John H. Watson. Two stories are narrated by Holmes himself and two were written in third person.
The four novels in the collection are
A Study In Scarlet, the Sign of the Four, the Hound of the Baskervilles and the Valley of Fear.
The 56 short stories are collected in five books, viz. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, the Return of Sherlock Holmes , His Last Bow and the Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes.

Watson describes Sherlock Holmes as 'Bohemian' and 'eccentric' in his lifestyle. Holmes is too caught up in his cases and often forgets about his personal hygiene and the cleanliness of his house. His friend Watson also helps Holmes in his cases. Holmes is known for debunking myths in the times when modern technology was not developed. Holmes is also a trained expert in various martial arts which helps him tackle his enemies during the investigation of his cases.
