DescriptionCold Blood is a long-standing rock-soul-jazz-funk band founded in 1968 and originally based in Oakland, Calfornia. They have also gone by the name Lydia Pense and Cold Blood due to the popularity of their lead singer, Lydia Pense. Cold Blood was formed in 1968 as part of the San Francisco Bay area music scene, based in the East Bay city of Oakland. Cold Blood frequently performed at Bill Graham’s Fillmore West, and achieved some prominence in its time. They were closely aligned with another East Bay based band of the era, Tower Of Power, emulating a similar style of psychedelic rock melded with blues, soul, jazz, and funk, backed by a big horn section a prominent part of their signature sound. Lydia Pense's driving vocals soulfully led the band, backed be a large rhythm section, some of whom were also members of Tower Of Power. Bill Graham signed them to his own San Francisco Records label where they released their debut studio album in 1969 and the four that would follow. First Taste Of Sin is the third studio album by Cold Blood, released in 1972. Tracklist: 01. Visions (Donny Baldwin) - 3:20 02. Lo And Behold (James Taylor) - 4:38 03.
