After the disastrous storm of food in the first movie, Flint (Bill Hader) and his friends are forced to leave the town of Boca Grande. Trapped, he accepted the invitation of his idol, Chester V (Will Forte), and joins The Live Corp Company, which gathers the best inventors in the world. But when he discovers that his machine still works and now creates hazardous food animalistic mutants, Flint decides to return and try to save the world.
