Clara Schumann - The Complete Piano WorksThis music deserves to be heard, and we are in debt to both the record company and the performer for making this possible. Clara composed from an early age and stopped when, as a young married woman with children (she and Robert eventually had 8), the wife of one of the outstanding composers of her day (whom she idolised) and professionally a very busy concert artiste, that part of her life simply got 'squeezed out'.



Not all of this music is of the first rank, but it is interesting in itself as the product of such a very important figure in the Romantic movement, all of it is enjoyable and some of it is of high quality. Recording and playing are dependable throughout.
