Instructions
1. Mount / burn / unpack ISO
2. Copy files to HDD
3. (Optional) Copy the CivilizationIV.ini file ini to your Documents/My Games/Beyond The Sword/ folder for minor performance tweaks. Ini file for Colonization is also included.
4. Enjoy!

Mods description
The Map Mod for CIV4BtS increases maximum number of civilizations in game from 18 to 50 and adds 16 well-balanced civilizations without changing game mechanics, providing dramatically better game experience. It is highly recommended to disable Technology Brokering and enable Aggressive AI in game settings.
Suggested map type is Huge/Archipelago/Snaky Continents/Medium Sea Level. You can also play with Low Sea Level if your PC has at least 6GB RAM.
Age Of Discovery II mod for COL4 fixes major balance issues of original game and adds new civilizations, making the game playable.

Major Performance Tweak
If you have at least 3GB (Win32) / 4GB (Win64) RAM it is highly recommended to disable Windows pagefile. This can increase performance dramatically when playing Huge-sized maps.
Computer(RMB) -> Properties -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced -> Performance -> Settings -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory -> Change -> No paging file on all drives and Restart.
