Lossless version of previous release except for the bonus tracks (read on)
I didn't know what to do with the bonus tracks I had put together for the previous release. I dismissed the option of including them as FLACs, as I don't think they are of high enough quality to merit it, and I didn't want anyone to get confused thinking that they were "genuinely" lossless. I could have duplicated the MP3s from the previous release. But that feels lazy to me, and doesn't put anything "extra" that the previous release didn't already have. Also, I don't feel good about mixing MP3s and FLACs in the same release. In the end, I decided on a compromise, I included five of the nine bonus tracks (I didn't feel the remaining four was of high enough quality to include here) in Ogg Vorbis format, as such it preserves more spectral content while at a similar bitrate to MP3. At the same time I did some slight EQ adjustments. Related Torrents
