FLYWHEEL
Flywheel is a 2003 American Christian drama film about the unexpected pitfalls that a used car dealer can expect to experience if he suddenly goes honest. The dealer intentionally overcharges his customers until reaching a turning point in his life where he decides to end his shady business practices and become a Christian. Alex Kendrick both directed the film and starred in the lead role, and with his brother, Stephen Kendrick, co-wrote the film. Flywheel also stars Lisa Arnold and Tracy Goode.
First released on April 9, 2003, this movie is the first full-length feature film by Sherwood Pictures, which now includes the production of Facing the Giants, Fireproof and Courageous.

FACING THE GIANTS

Facing the Giants is a 2006 American Christian drama film directed by and starring Alex Kendrick. The supporting cast was composed of volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church, and it is the second film that Sherwood Pictures have done. Shot in Albany, Georgia, the film relates an underdog story about American football from a Christian worldview.

In 2003, Grant Taylor (Alex Kendrick) is a high school football coach with a mediocre record. After several poor seasons, the Shiloh Eagles are considering replacing him as head coach. This is not the only problem Taylor is facing; his car is breaking down, the players' fathers are trying to get him fired, and he discovers that he is the reason that his wife Brooke cannot become pregnant.
He creates a new coaching philosophy and decides to praise God, no matter what the result. At the same time he guides and urges each one of his players to give the maximum effort, and motivates them to believe they can win under God's guidance. From that point on, he loses only one game but eventually goes on to win the state championship. His prayers for children are also answered, as two years later, Grant and his wife have children of their own.

FIREPROOF

Fireproof is a 2008 American Christian drama film released by Samuel Goldwyn Films and Affirm Films,[2] directed by Alex Kendrick, who co-wrote and co-produced it with Stephen Kendrick. The film stars Kirk Cameron, Erin Bethea and Ken Bevel.
Reviews for the film were "generally unfavorable" from film critics.[3][4] The film was successful at the box office, becoming a surprise hit,[5] debuting at #4 and becoming the highest-grossing independent film of 2008, grossing over $33,000,000.[6] It received awards from evangelical Christian organizations, including the Best Feature Film award at the 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival.


In 1983 as a little girl, Catherine wants to marry her firefighter father. Her mom says, "You can't marry Daddy, I'm married to him."
25 years later in 2008 Catherine is now married to young firefighter Caleb Holt (Cameron). On the job, Caleb lives by the motto "Never leave your partner behind", forcefully impressing this dictum on the men in his fire crew. But his marriage with Catherine (Bethea) is suffering and she wants a divorce. Differing life priorities have led their marriage to a breakdown. She complains that he is addicted to internet porn; she views his saving money for a boat of his dreams as selfish, thinking that the money should be used to provide her ailing mother's medical equipment. Caleb feels respect from everyone except his own wife, who he says does not value him.
Caleb's father John challenges him to commit to a 40-day "Love Dare" (a real-life Christian devotional program designed to strengthen marriages, also written by the film's writer, director and producer team of Alex and Stephen Kendrick.) Caleb reluctantly agrees to try it, and begins following the program in an attempt to win Catherine back. But she doubts his sincerity, suspecting his real motive as a ruse to obtain a better divorce settlement. She sees Caleb's actions as half-hearted, like the inexpensive flowers he buys her. Caleb learns, though, to refrain from blowing up in anger or insulting Catherine to her face.
Frustrated with her coldness, but with John's encouragement, Caleb continues on the plan. His close friend Michael (Bevel) also encourages Caleb to become a born-again Christian. He illustrates the together-yet-different nature of a healthy marriage through salt and pepper shakers he has glued together. Caleb may try to pull them apart, but if he does, the contents will break one or both of them in the end.
At the hospital where she works, Catherine begins flirting with the friendly Dr. Gavin Keller (Perry Revell), and tells him of her mother's medical problems. Meanwhile, Caleb injures his arm in a firefight, and is brought to the hospital. A nurse inadvertently says (in front of Dr. Keller) that Caleb is Catherine's husband.
Continuing his 40-day challenge, Caleb begins doing more household chores and errands. He leaves her more expensive beautiful roses, and even smashes his computer to remove its temptations. But Catherine still thinks he has an ulterior motive, and remains intent on divorce.
Catherine then learns that a new wheelchair and bed for her mother have been paid for in full. Assuming that Dr. Keller bought the wheelchair, she arranges a lunch date to thank him. Meanwhile Caleb discovers Dr. Keller's budding relationship with Catherine, and warns him he will not let Catherine go without a fight. Dr. Keller begins to distance himself from Catherine. He tries on his wedding ring, but it no longer fits.
One morning Catherine is home sick, and Caleb decides to take care of her. She asks why he has changed his behavior, and he tells her about the Love Dare and apologizes for his past selfishness. Catherine says she needs some time to think about their future. A few days later, she learns that it was Caleb, not Dr. Keller, who paid for the lion's share of her mother's new medical equipment, exhausting his long-term boat savings. Finally she sees that Caleb's desire to change is sincere. Ashamed of doubting him, she dons her own wedding ring, dresses and makes herself up, and rushes to embrace her husband with the respect and admiration he has craved.
When Caleb thanks his dad for the Love Dare, he is surprised to learn it was his mother who first did the Love Dare on John, not the other way around. The young couple renew their wedding vows in an outdoor ceremony, this time as a covenant with God. The closing shot shows their wedding cake, with salt and pepper shakers for its bride and groom statues.

THE GRACE CARD
The Grace Card is a 2010 Christian drama film directed by David G. Evans. It intends to illustrate the everyday opportunities that people have to rebuild relationships and heal deep wounds by extending and receiving God’s grace. The film stars Louis Gossett, Jr., Michael Higgenbottom and Michael Joiner. It was released on February 25, 2011 to 363 theaters, grossing $1,010,299 on opening weekend
When Mac McDonald (Michael Joiner) loses his son in an accident, the ensuing 17 years of bitterness and pain erodes his love for his family and leaves him angry with almost everyone, including God. Mac's rage damages his career in the police department, and his household is as frightening as anything he encounters on the streets of Memphis. Money is tight, arguments with his wife are common, and his surviving son Blake is hanging with the wrong crowd and in danger of failing school.
Things become heated when Mac is partnered with Sam Wright (Mike Higgenbottom), a rising star on the force who happens to be a part-time pastor and a family man. Sam never expected to be a police officer. He feels called to be a minister like his grandfather. In addition to leading a small, start-up church, Sam works as a police officer to provide for his family. When he gets promoted to Sergeant, however, Sam starts questioning if his true calling might be police work.
Can Sam and Mac somehow join forces or is it nearly impossible for either of them to look past their differences, especially their race?

COURAGEOUS
Courageous is a 2011 independent Christian drama film, directed by Alex Kendrick, produced by Sherwood Pictures and was released to theaters on September 30, 2011. It is the fourth film by Sherwood Pictures, the creators of Flywheel, Facing the Giants, and Fireproof. Filming in Albany, Georgia concluded in June 2010. The film was marketed by Sony's Provident Films, which also marketed their previous films.
The film was directed by Alex Kendrick, who co-wrote its screenplay with his brother Stephen Kendrick. Kendrick also stars in the film, along with Ken Bevel, Kevin Downes, and former running-back Tony Stallings. About half of the cast and crew were volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church, while the remainder were brought on through invitation-only auditions.
The film was produced with a budget of $2 million, but on its opening weekend it grossed $2 million in pre-sales alone and grossed $9.1 million total for the weekend. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics, but a rare A+ CinemaScore rating from filmgoers.
As the police force of Albany, Georgia, attempts to stop gangs and drug dealing activity in the city, the sheriff urges his deputies to spend time with their families, citing research that shows fatherless children are several times more likely to get into trouble in life, including crime. Among his deputies are Adam Mitchell (Alex Kendrick), Nathan Hayes (Ken Bevel), Shane Fuller (Kevin Downes), and rookie David Thomson (Ben Davies). Mitchell adores his nine-year-old daughter, Emily, but is distant from his fifteen-year-old son, Dylan. Hayes never knew his biological father but would risk his life to save his three children; however, his teenage daughter Jade (Taylor Hutcherson), resents him because he has strict rules about dating. Fuller is divorced, as were his parents, and has joint custody of his son. Thomson is young and single. The group also befriends Javier Martinez (Robert Amaya), an immigrant struggling to provide for his family, and Mitchell recommends him to a new full-time job, where he is hired.
One tragic day, Emily is killed by a drunk driver, devastating Mitchell and his family. Following his daughter's death, Mitchell reads a lot about fatherhood in the Bible. He decides he must be a better father and crafts a detailed "Resolution" to honor God in every aspect of his family. Mitchell, Hayes, Fuller, Thomson, and Martinez join him in his resolution at a formal ceremony conducted by Hayes's neighborhood mentor, the man he thinks of as a father. Mitchell rebuilds a relationship with his son and receives some relief of his guilt at his daughter's death. Hayes mends his relationship with his daughter and presents her with a purity ring that he asks her to wear until she is married. He also visits the grave of his biological father who he had never met and forgives him. Fuller improves his relationship with his son. Thomson reveals that he fathered a child in college and deserted the mother after she refused to have an abortion. He writes the mother a letter seeking a relationship with his daughter and encloses some support money. Martinez's factory employer offers him a promotion on the condition that he falsify inventory documents. Martinez refuses, and his boss reveals that the request was a test of Martinez's integrity. The boss promotes Martinez and gives him a raise.
Mitchell discovers that Fuller has been stealing drugs from police evidence. Mitchell decides he must honor his Resolution and decides to report the corruption. He sets up a sting leading to Fuller's arrest and imprisonment. Mitchell visits Fuller in jail where Fuller takes responsibility for his actions and asks Mitchell to look after his son, which Mitchell agrees to do.
During a minor traffic stop, Hays and Thomson unknowingly confront the armed leader of a gang they have been repeatedly encountering. The incident turns into a roadside gun battle, and the gang leader attempts to take a young girl hostage. Mitchell and other officers arrive as backup. The girl's father helps Hays subdue a suspect, and Mitchell assists in arresting a second suspect. One of the gang members is Derrick Freeman (David Howze), a teenager who Hays had earlier prohibited from dating his daughter; Derrick attributes his decisions to his lack of a father.
At a Father's Day church service, the men present the Resolution and Mitchell urges the fathers in the congregation to be a Godly influence on their families. Mitchell runs in a 5K race with his son and Fuller's son. Hayes reads the Bible in prison with Derrick. Thomson meets his daughter for the first time. The film ends with a quote from Joshua 24:15: "Choose today who you will serve, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE
Last Ounce of Courage is a 2012 American family drama film directed by Darrel Campbell, Kevin McAfee and starring Marshall R. Teague, Jennifer O'Neill, and Fred Williamson. It centers on the struggle of Bob Revere, a man dealing with what he feels is his freedom of religion under attack by the government of his community and an ACLU-like group.
After the death of his son Thomas, Mayor Bob Revere (Teague) has to deal with politicians removing Christmas and starts a controversial protest.
