We first got hipped to the ever-evolving tunes of Arcata, Calif.-based artist Choongum way back in March 2011. Since then, we’ve kept up with his chameleon-like approach to music, which has led to mellow remixes of Frank Ocean, indie pop and ambient experiments, and much more. And the kicker about all this? He’s only 19.

It’s been nothing short of remarkable watching Choongum’s progress, and we couldn’t be happier to bring you his first release as a member of Potholes Music. The Fantasy EP is a short-but-sweet collection of four romantically tinged, lush, and vibrant tracks. At one moment, you will find yourself transported to the depths of the ocean on opening track “Active Water” while elsewhere “House of Insects” boasts a low-key thump made for a party in the forest.
