Engeland, 1932. Het is de trouwdag van Dolly Thatcham (Felicity Jones). Wanneer
Dolly's minnaar van de vorige zomer Joseph (Luke Treadaway) verschijnt veranderen

geplande toekomst van haar dochter wordt bedreigd. Nu de tijd dringt, kan Dolly
