Check Actiontec Q1000 Modem Speed v4 (Size: 202.22 KB)
Descriptionthese scripts are written for the Qwest/Actiontec Q1000 Wireless-N VDSL Modem Router. they obtain info from 'modemstatus_home.html' and run 'rebootinfo.html' if necessary. the check modem speed vbs file will change the console font, size and color settings, then return the console to default settings when it closes. if a browser is open that is accessed by the same process as the 'reboot modem' script, the browser will be closed. there are three folders created by the 'install check modem speed' batch file which contain reboot modem script for either google chrome, internet explorer or firefox. the default browser installed to reboot the Q1000 modem is internet explorer. simply copy another browser version reboot script into the main folder to change the browser used when the modem is rebooted. an 'Add Context Menu' script is included, it will add Directory and Library Folder context menus for 'check modem speed', and the included icon. the 'install check modem speed v4' batch or vbs file will create six files: 'check modem speed.vbs', 'xmlhttp script.bat', 'reboot modem.vbs', 'Add Context Menu runasadmin.bat', 'Install Schedule Tasks.bat' and 'modem speed readme.txt' if it is missing. the created scripts create two more files: 'xmlhttp.tmp' and 'Modem Stream Logs %year%stream %mnth%%yr%.log'. the modem files will check the Q1000 stream rate, display downstream, upstream and external ip in a console window for five seconds, and save the info with time and date to a log file. if the speed is less than 600kbps, the batch file will save stream rates to the log file, display stream rates and external ip, and run the 'reboot modem' vbs file. the processes are silent or minimized, the only window to appear is console with the current modem downstream, upstream and external ip address. the 'xmlhttp script' batch file can be edited to adjust the check rate kbps. windows 7 task scheduler will run the 'check modem speed' at any created schedule. the created 'Schedule Tasks' folder contains a batch file which will install saved xml schedule tasks. in schedule tasks, right click any created schedule task and select 'export...', save schedule task as xml file. the 'Install Schedule Tasks' batch file will install all xml schedule tasks in current directory. 'notepad++' and 'sublime text 2' are great script editors, they display line numbers and text highlighting. ============================================ || Q1000 Modem Speed || || v4 || || || || 1n0n1m0s || || nov 2012 || ============================================ sample log file: 10:00 PM 021112 Ext 71.212.6.157 Downstream 3072 Upstream 542 04:00 AM 031112 Ext 71.212.16.63 Downstream 3072 Upstream 343 10:00 AM 031112 Ext 97.113.50.140 Downstream 3072 Upstream 426 04:00 PM 031112 Ext 97.113.50.105 Downstream 3072 Upstream 636 10:00 PM 031112 Ext 71.212.2.84 Downstream 3072 Upstream 322 03:00 AM 041112 Ext 71.212.7.210 Downstream 3072 Upstream 632 Related Torrents
