The four celebrity semi-finalists are in for a tough time. In this hour-long programme they've got to make a hearty lunch for 600 construction workers. Tomorrow they have to cater for a smart dinner party, before facing food critics and the loss of one of their number on Friday. "I reckon there's going to be stuff flying all over the joint!" says John Torode. He's not wrong. Ten minutes before serving the ravenous builders, one team realise they've forgotten the key ingredient in their pasta dish. And in the roast challenge one stressed-out contestant burns the rice pudding and ruins the gravy. Yet, while each has a disaster or two, they all have triumphs as well, so there's no clear winner in sight. Frankly, it's anyone's guess which of them is going to end up in the last three for next week's final. When they do, they'll realise, as Gregg Wallace is so fond of bellowing, "It doesn't get tougher than this."
