Camelot è una serie televisiva statunitense di genere fantasy basata sulla leggenda di Re Artù. La serie è composta da una sola stagione.

La storia è tratta dal ciclo di romanzi arturiano La morte di Artù, composto da Thomas Malory alla fine del Quattrocento.
La trama prende avvio dalla morte improvvisa di re Uther, evento che getta il reame nello scompiglio più totale.
Merlino, potente mago, legge nell'evento presagi di un futuro oscuro e, per evitare il peggio, porta sul trono lo sconosciuto erede del defunto sovrano, Artù.

Merlino ha fatto però i conti senza la malvagia sorellastra di Artù, Morgana, che aspira alla conquista del potere e ingaggia una lotta serrata contro il nuovo e inesperto re.
Arthur dovrà quindi affrontare una serie di eventi che metteranno a dura prova il suo carattere, sorretto però dall'aiuto del fidato Merlino e dall'amore della bella Ginevra...


Camelot is a historical-fantasy-drama television series which premiered on 1 April 2011.
It was co-produced by the Starz cable network and GK-TV which began production during the summer of 2010.
The series, based on the Arthurian legend, was produced by Graham King, Morgan O'Sullivan and Michael Hirst.

It is the late 5th century and Britain has been free of Roman rule for several decades and is vulnerable to outside enemies, particularly the Saxons.
The series starts off with King Uther's sudden death and chaos threatening to engulf Britain.
When the sorcerer Merlin has visions of a dark future, he installs the young and impetuous Arthur, Uther's unknown son and heir, who has been raised from birth as a commoner.
But Arthur's cold and ambitious half-sister Morgan will fight him to the bitter end, summoning unnatural forces to claim the crown in this epic battle for control...
