Buena Vista Social Club - Rhythm del Mundo

De verzamelaar 'Rhythms Del Mundo: Cuba' wordt uitgebracht ten voordele van het Artists Project Earth project. Dit project legt zich toe op sensibiliseringscampagnes in verband met de Global Warming-problematiek. De leden van de Buena Vista Social Club herwerkten de muziek van klassiekers als "Clocks" (Coldplay), "High & Dry" (Radiohead), "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" (U2) eva. voegden er een scheut Afro-Cuban vibes aan toe met een hoogst origineel resultaat tot gevolg. Dit album bevat ook de allerlaatste opname van de onlangs overleden Ibrahim Ferrer ("As Time Goes By" ). Drijvende kracht achter dit project is producer Kenny Young ('Earthrise No1').
