Carson (Ashley Benson) is de aanvoerder van de West High Sharks, een cheerleadersgroep. Wanneer Carson voor een jongen valt van de tegenpartij, een lid van de East High Jets, brengt dit grote spanningen met zich mee. Brooke (Cassie Scerbo) is de aanvoerder van de East High Jets en wil een persoonlijke confrontatie met Carson. Dit loopt uit de hand en beide teams zijn gediskwalificeerd. Nu beide teams niet meer met de kampioenschappen mee mogen doen valt er nog maar één ding te doen: samenwerken.
