just to add if you want to change player name from "nikita" to your own you do it by editing in the "skidrow" file located at c/program files/rg world games/borderlands 2/binaries/win32,just right click on the skidrow file,hit properties/security/edit permissions,click "users" then tick the box "full control then "apply".open the skidrow file you'l see "nikita",delete that name and put your own on,long winded comment but it bugged me and i fixed it :)

Worked fine for me. Just clicked on right button '>' during install (the Russian bit). Then in c/programfiles/rgworldgames/borderlands2/binaries/win32 use the borderlands application exe. Note that you can use the launcher exe in (in the same folder) to set the video settings.
