"BLOOM COUNTY 2015" Web Comic

"Bloom County" (gocomics.com/bloom-county) was a popular comic strip by Berkeley Breathed which originally ran from 1980 until 1989. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America. Shortly after "Bloom County" ended, Breathed started a Sunday-only strip called "Outland" with original characters and situations, but Opus the Penguin, Bill the Cat and other characters from "Bloom County" eventually reappeared and slowly took over the strip. "Outland" ran from 1989 through 1995. Another Sunday-only spinoff strip simply titled "Opus" ran from 2003 until 2008. In July of 2015, Breathed resurrected "Bloom County" as "Bloom County 2015," with new comics appearing first on his Facebook page and then, later, on the gocomics.com Web site.
