1.Run the installer.
` For Windows, the installer executable file has the .exe extension. Double-click the installer
file to run it.
2.At the Welcome page of the installation wizard, click Next.
3.At the NetBeans IDE installation page, do the following:
->Accept the default installation directory for the NetBeans IDE or specify another directory.
Note: The installation directory must be empty and the user profile you are using to run the
installer must have read/write permissions for this directory.
->Accept the default JDK installation to use with the NetBeans IDE or select a different
installation from the drop-down list. If the installation wizard did not find a compatible JDK
installation to use with the NetBeans IDE, your JDK is not installed in the default location.
In this case, specify the path to an installed JDK and click Next, or cancel the current installation.
After installing the required JDK version you can restart the installation.
4.If the GlassFish Server Open Source Edition 3.1 installation page opens, accept the default installation
directory or specify another installation location.
5.If you are installing Apache Tomcat, on its installation page, accept the default installation
directory or specify another installation location. Click Next.
6.At the Summary page, verify that the list of components to be installed is correct and that you have
adequate space on your system for the installation.
7.Click Install to begin the installation.
8.At the Setup Complete page, provide anonymous usage data if desired, and click Finish.
9.Done now you can use Netbean IDE

1.Run Jdk installer.
(You must have administrative permissions in order to install the JDK on Microsoft Windows.The file
jdk-6u1-windows-i586-i.exe is the JDK installer. If you downloaded it instead of running
it directly from the web site, double-click on the installer's icon. Then follow the instructions
the installer provides. The installer may ask you to reboot your computer.)
2.Update the path variable
For Microsoft windows
1.Click Start > Control Panel > System on Windows XP or Start > Settings > Control Panel > System
on Windows 2000.
2.Click Advanced > Environment Variables.
3.Add the location of bin folder of JDK installation for PATH in User Variables and System Variables.
A typical value for PATH is:
"C:Program FilesJavajdk1.6.0_bin"

PATH environment variable is a series of directories separated by semi-colons ( and is not case
sensitive. Microsoft Windows looks for programs in the PATH directories in order, from left to right.
You should only have one bin directory for a JDK in the path at a time. Those following the first
instance are ignored. If one is already present, update it to jdk1.6.0_bin.
If you are not sure where to add the path, add it to the right end of the PATH in the User Variables.
The new path takes effect in each new command window you open after setting the PATH variable.
3.Now you are ready for JDK
