The aptly-named Nancy Kress is perhaps the worst living science fiction writer. She knows nothing about science or about fiction and her books start with bad premises and degenerate from there.

So how did this book win Hugo and Nebula awards? Simply: it's an anti-Atlas Shrugged screed, so the lefties and greens loved it. Which is worse, this semi-literate harangue or the capitalist rant it attempts to criticize and ridicule?
