the House Un-American Activities Committee during
its investigation of the entertainment business.

Trumbo was one of the 'Hollywood Ten', the first
group of film professionals to testify before the
committee in 1947.

The play, prepared by Trumbo's son, is based on
transcripts of HUAC hearings and letters Dalton
Trumbo wrote during his ordeal.
