David Bowie: Sound and Vision

A special programme on the life and music of David Bowie, presented by Jeremy Vine. Bowie was one of the most influential musicians of his time, constantly re-inventing his persona and sound, from the 1960s hippy of Space Oddity, through Ziggy Stardust and the Thin White Duke to his later incarnation as a soulful rocker.

Good, small encode, but lots of SD footage. Not great, too much fan footage. Have to wait a few weeks for proper documentaries.
Yeah agree with most of that but most of the older material isn't HD so that can't change. Seemed that this programme was put out in a bit of a rush and isn't to my mind up with the Beeb's usual standards. Prefer the earlier "Ziggy Stardust" and "5 Years" as documentaries but they not up to date and don't deal with Bowie's death. As you say I'm sure better docs are in the works.
So does a vacuum cleaner... and your point is?
