 Music of Northern Mexico La Banda Sinaloense or "Tambora Sinaloense" is a traditional musical, cultural and academically established, emerged in the early '20s in the State of Sinaloa in western Mexico. It is characterized by the dominant presence of wind instruments and a repertoire of European origin Fanfare style which now predominate huapangos (base rhythm in 6/8 with pre-Hispanic), ballads, polkas, waltzes, mazurkas and chotises, all adapted the sensitivity of the inhabitants of this region of Mexico.
