Encoders notes:

IMPORTANT: This file is created primeraly for direct playback on ps3 and xbox 360. If you want a multichannel version, either encode or mux it from the provided DTS track or find another uploader. I will NOT cut out my biggest supporters just to satisfy people who bugg me to build these different.

This file is optimized for playback on standalone, ps3 and xbox 360. The size is kept at under 4 gig for storage on ps3 external fat 32 hdd.

Also plays back nicely on pc at 720p on a 1280x1024 desktop ( or there abouts ) and gives a brilliant quality source for convert X to dvd. Convert X can produce a dvd from this file thats as good as an origional.

You can use a program called tsmuxer to create a blue ray disk from this file. You can also add the included DTS file for 5.1 audio. Important note. You need to demux the video to raw .264 before adding to tsmuxer.

The origional DTS track is included as is for people to re-encode for 5.1 aac or to add to a dvd or blue ray. To encode to aac use megui and the nero aac codec.

Encoding to nero aac lc will allow you to create a multichannel ps3 file. It is highly advised that you demux the video to raw .264 before muxing with the multichannel aac lc file you create.

The file name has been shortened because some people don't realised that the file name has to be simple for ps3 playback. This should stop people thinking its broken because the filename has spaces...

If your going to playback on ps3, drop the file in a folder before playing, this should stop anyone from getting corruption messeges.

Additional Notes:

This was sourced, encoded and uploaded by request.

This project was huge. It's taken over 3 weeks of work and probably over half a terabyte of net bandwidth, spaced out over the past two months.

I origionaly started with an hddvd remux for this but couldn't complete it because two of the episodes were damaged leaving them watchable but un-encodeable.

I tried a 1080p hddvd rip but it was flawed as well. I was going to combine the episodes when I came across the blue ray set.

There is a thick grain in variouse scenes in the hddvd and blue ray sets. It's an intentional effect added to certain scenes to demonstrait dirt, age, and grityness etc...

I noticed that the blue ray set seemed to be worse than the hddvd with this making it a bit hard on the eye at points.

As the effect is intentional, I didn't go out my way to remove it completely. Instead, I softened the graining a good deal using filtering. This keeps the origional effect going but makes it easier on the eye.

The blue ray set had an updated DTS-HD audio track for each episode. I downmixed this to DTS as opposed to just using the origional, included DTS tracks. This I beleive has helped pass on some of the benifit of the updated audio.

I created folders for each episode and left the DTS files I created for each episode in the matching folder.

Enjoy this HD series.
