Bruggen plays a very delicate transverse part that has not lost his charm in time. Leonhardt and Bylsma are as usual. Side 2 contains a very interesting alternative instrumentation by Bruggen of the a-minor partita (1013) and the b-minor sonata (1030) for various instruments Jan Hanford said: I was delighted to find a used copy of this old recording. Bruggen was very good back in 1975 and I've always admired and enjoyed Leonhardt. The inclusion of the unusual transcriptions of the solo Partita BWV 1013 and the Concerto derived from the first movement of Sonata BWV 1030 are a unique bonus, if a bit far fetched. Recommended but sadly out of print. Sharing Widget |
