Encoded from iso files from the PAL DVDs with Handbrake x.265 at Constant Quality RF 18, preset medium; de-combed bob to 50 fps; ultralight noise removal tuned to film. This yielded 1652 Kbps. I use MPC-HC with MadVR and it looks really nice to me with a bit of sharpening, etc.
