Encoded from iso files from the PAL DVDs with Handbrake x.265 at Constant Quality RF 18, preset medium; Detelecine default with frame rate same as source; ultralight noise removal tuned to film. This yielded an average of 1500 Kbps for the episodes encoded like this. I use MPC-HC with MadVR and it looks really nice to me with a bit of sharpening, etc.
