Atlantis is de tweede film van Luc Besson die zich afspeelt in de
onderwaterwereld. In deze film kom je geen freedivers of technische duikers
tegen en de enige dialoog die gesproken wordt door de niet menselijke acteurs
is voor ons niet verstaanbaar.Met de film Atlantis poogt Luc Besson zich te
bewijzen in de natuurdocumentaire, en laat hij op zijn eigen manier met de
muziek van Eric Serra zien hoe hij de onderwaterwereld ervaart. In zijn domein
zijn het dit maal de onderwater wezens die acteren en net zoals bij The Big
Blue speelt muziek een belangrijke rol.

Atlantis is more visual art than nature film and a 'must see' for any
Luc Besson fan. The film captures the feel of what it's actually like to swim
underwater better than any film I've ever seen, perfectly illustrating the
form and texture of sea water. Beautiful. Highly recommended for anyone
interested in visual arts or diving.
