2014 marked the tenth consecutive year of André Rieu 's traditional summer evening concerts in Mastricht's historic Vrijthof square. Over five nights in July, Rieu staged an extraordinary spectacle, transforming the site into an open-air concert hall, inviting along guest artists and putting on stunning light shows.

For his theme this year, Rieu chose the romantic city of Venice and played a wide range of Italian hits, including O sole mio , Volare , Santa Lucia , La Danza as well as three brand new tracks dedicated to Venice written by Rieu himself.
