It was released on January 15, 2016, by the affiliated labels of Steel Wool, OBE, Art Club and EMPIRE. The album preceded by the release of his collaborative EP, with record producer Knxwledge; as duo NxWorries Link Up & Suede EP, which was released on December 4, 2015, through Stones Throw Records. The album was supported by three singles; including "The Season | Carry Me", the ScHoolboy Q-featuring disco-influenced track "Am I Wrong", and "Room in Here", which features singer Sonyae Elise and a verse from The Game. The album was described as .Paak's rise to stardom, where it began when he been appearing on Dr. Dre's album Compton, where he was prominently featured on six songs, including "Animals"; which supposedly being included on Paak's new album, before Dr. Dre took it upon for his album.
