Mike Howell (Jesse Eisenberg) spends most of his time is numbing, working sitting behind the cash register of the Cash & Carry convenience store and writing a comic book that will never be published on a superhero monkey. He would like to one day take his girlfriend and companion Phoebe (Kristen Stewart) to Hawaii - if one day he can overcome the inexplicable panic attacks that experience every time trying to get out of town. No he has no memory of the fact that Mike is actually a highly trained and deadly CIA agent. In the blink of an eye, while her secret past resurfaces, he finds himself in the midst of a deadly operation of the government and is forced to summon the inner action hero to survive.
