Description"Hello again. This is Casey Kasem. Welcome to American Top 40 and our regular countdown of this week's best-selling single records in the USA." LET SALLY READ YOU THIS NONSENSE! DOWNLOAD (and listen to) the "ROCKETMAN_RECORD_REPORT!" American Top 40 with Casey Kasem aired on radio from July 4, 1970 until August 6, 1988. This recording is a rebroadcast from internet radio. In this countdown: A listener asks, "If Elvis is the King of the Singles Chart, who is the King of the Album Chart?" Casey reveals the Three Kings of the Album Chart: the one with the most #1 albums (15), the most albums (67), and the one with the most time on the album chart (2254 weeks). Another listener asks, "What album holds the record for the most weeks on the LP Chart?" Casey reports the runner-up had 54 weeks, and the all-time champ sat for 69 weeks at the top of the LP Chart. What was Kiki Dee doing before she was asking Elton John not to go breaking her heart? She was at number 12 singing "I've Got The Music In Me." Casey reads a flattering review of Stevie Wonder and his 40,000,000 records sold before introducing "Boogie On Reggae Woman" (at number 38) and he tells how original ambition of Eric Clapton (at number 32 with "Willie And The Hand Jive") was to be a designer of fine stained glass. Chuck Berry only made it to number 41 when he released "Promised Land" back in 1964. This week, Elvis has his version of it at number 18. Bachman-Turner Overdrive is in the countdown with their former number one hit, "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet." It fell to #12, then to #34, and this week it is back up to number 8. Casey explains that, as well as why the group was almost nicknamed, "Bachman-Turner Overweight." 40: Bungle In The Jungle Jethro Tull 39: Whatever You Got, I Want - The Jackson 5 38: Boogie On Reggae Woman - Stevie Wonder 37: One Man Woman/One Woman Man - Paul Anka with Odia Coates 36: Three Ring Circus - Blue Magic 35: Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me) - Reunion 34: Only You - Ringo 33: Jazzman - Carole King 32: Willie And The Hand Jive - Eric Clapton 31: Lets Straighten It Out - Latimore 30: Must Of Got Lost - The J.
