Overview

Learning isn't something that just happens to you. It's something you do. You can't learn without pumping some neurons. Learning means building more mental pathways, bridging connections between new and pre-existing knowledge, recognizing patterns, and turning facts and information into knowledge (and ultimately, wisdom).

Here's how we help you do that:

* We tell stories, using casual language, instead of lecturing. We don't take ourselves too seriously. Which would you pay more attention to: a stimulating dinner party companion, or a lecture?

* We make it visual. Images are far more memorable than words alone, and make learning much more effective. They also make things more fun.

* We use attention-grabbing tactics. Learning a new, tough, technical topic doesn't have to be boring. The graphics are often surprising, oversized, humorous, sarcastic, or edgy. You might not expect a girl in a bathtub discussing key object-oriented principles, but there she is. Or the woman pulling a duck from an ATM machine. Or the disembodied head on a table. The page layout is dynamic: no two pages are the same, and each one is crafted to keep the right mix of text and images. Examples are usually fun, strange, or both.

great quality
thanks uploader.
After downloading Adobe Acrobat Pro X, I can read them clearly! Nicely done even if its a scanned version. Now i can read start reading them!

Thanks for the seeds!
After thoroughly looking through all of them, I am left wondering if most of them are still scanned or not. Unless my eyes are deceiving me. It looks like with some is they pulled digital pages possibly from sites like Google, Oriely, etc and scanned any missing pages. I will have to admit though that these are some of the better copies I have come across. Some are actual digital copies that apparently where downloaded or extracted some how from Safari. But don't be fooled by they are not scanned. There are pages weaved into some of the pdf that are scanned. Its actually fairly obvious.
At the moment I can verify the HF Design Patterns book is definately not scan, like all the rest. Thanks I have been waiting for this one very patiently. No I do not have to go to the book store to read. :)
After thoroughly looking through HF Design Patterns, I would have to say it still seems to be a legite copy. However it is not the complete book. It does not contain all pages or the index. It just contains the chapters.
