Description
"Kill Him Silently" is a super interesting documentary that details the chronology of Mossad's attempt to assassinate Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal- while he was in Jordan- with some ultra-potent opiate. It basically went down like this. Two Mossad agents walked up to Meshaal and one sprayed something on him- in his ear. His retinue saw this and chased down the two men- his bodyguard catching, fighting with and ultimately subduing them, with the help of a local soldier. The men were arrested and imprisoned by Jordanian officials on suspicion of being Mossad agents and for attempting an attack on Jordanian soil. Meshaal got sick and quickly worsened. Interrogators were demanding the men provide details of the toxin they used, along with the antidote. The King of Jordan intervened diplomatically as a medium between Hamas and Israel, personally demanding the antidote from Israel- who was playing their plausible deniability card. Jordanian doctors suspected what was wrong but couldn't be certain. The King succeeded leveraging the Israeli's for a trade- the antidote for your agents. When the Jordanians received the vaccine, the Israeli's had mislabelled it as to mislead the Jordanian doctors as to what the toxin actually was. Really plays out like some botched James bond shit. Highly recommended watch.
