Considered the best mystery novel ever written by many readers, And

Then There Were None is the story of 10 strangers, each lured to Indian

Island by a mysterious host. Once his guests have arrived, the host

accuses each person of murder. Unable to leave the island, the guests

begin to share their darkest secrets--until they begin to die.--This

text refers to the Paperback edition.

From AudioFile

Ten strangers are invited to an island by the mysterious U.N. Owen.

All are accused of murder and slowly, inexorably, the nursery rhyme

comes to fruition, and they begin to die, until there are none. Here's

Agatha Christie at her best with her classic drawing room murder mystery,

with extra tension to boot. David Horovitch acts out all the parts,

quietly communicating the hints and nuances of Christie's well-known

tale. As each character claims innocence, Horovitch adds a touch of

cynicism to voice and story. Yet the mysterious murderer remains unknown

until the very last syllable is uttered. M.B.K. © AudioFile 2002, Portland,

Rainbo Electronic Reviews

"Norman Barrs...enhances this classic mystery with his smooth narration.

His different voices for this busy cast are done so well that one could

almost believe that there is more than one reader." --This text refers

to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

AudioFile, October 1992

"[Norman Barrs] lends just the right emotional notes of outrage and

fear to the many narrative passages. This reading is especially recommended

for those who know only the watered-down Hollywood version of the tale."

--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this

title.

Ten houseguests, trapped on an isolated island, are the prey of a diabolical

killer. When they realize that every one of them is marked for murder,

terror mounts as their number dwindles. Who has choreographed this dastardly

scheme? Who will be left to tell the tale? Clues and red herrings abound

in this masterpiece from Agatha Christie, her most popular mystery ever.

In this complete and unabridged recording, reader Norman Barrs portrays

ten different people-with all the subtle shadings of each voice and

character-a masterpiece in its own right. 4 cassettes.--This text refers

"

The world's best-selling mystery with over 100 million copies sold!

Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited

to a lonely mansion on Indian Island by a host who, surprisingly, fails

to appear. On the island they are cut off from everything but each other

and the inescapable shadows of their own past lives. One by one, the

guests share the darkest secrets of their wicked pasts. And one by one,

they die. The Spectator (London): 'Agatha Christie's masterpiece.' The

New York Times: 'The whole thing is utterly impossible and utterly fascinating.

It is the most baffling mystery Agatha Christie has ever written.'

"--This text refers to the Digital edition.

About the Author

Agatha Christie is the world's best-known mystery writer. Her books

have sold over a billion copies in the English language and another

billion in 44 foreign languages. She is the most widely published author

of all time in any language, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare.-

Her writing career spanned more than half a century, during which she

wrote 80 novels and short story collections, as well as 14 plays, one

of which, The Mousetrap, is the longest-running play in history. Two

of the characters she created, the brilliant little Belgian Hercule

Poirot and the irrepressible and relentless Miss Marple, went on to

become world-famous detectives. Both have been widely dramatized in

feature films and made-for-TV movies.

Agatha Christie also wrote romantic novels under the pseudonym Mary

Westmacott. As well, she wrote four non-fiction books including an autobiograph-

y and an entertaining account of the many expeditions she shared with

her archaeologist husband, Sir Max Mallowan.

Agatha Christie died in 1976.
