TRAMA:

In After Earth, mille anni dopo che eventi catastrofici hanno costretto l'umanità ad abbandonare la Terra, Nova Prime è diventata la nuova casa del genere umano. Il leggendario generale Cypher Raige (Will Smith) fa ritorno a casa dopo un lunghissimo turno di servizio, pronto ad assumere il ruolo di padre nei confronti del 13enne Kitai (Jaden Smith). Ma quando una tempesta di asteroidi danneggia la navicella di Cypher e Kitai, i due sono costretti a un atterraggio di emergenza sull’oramai inospitale e pericolosa Terra. Cypher nell’impatto rimane gravemente ferito e Kitai deve attraversare territori ostili nel tentativo di raggiungere il faro che, attivato, gli permetterà di richiamare i soccorsi. Se per tutta la vita Kitai ha sognato di diventare un eroe come suo padre, ora ha la sua occasione per esserlo.

STORYLINE:

One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai. When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.
