Adapted from the work of Nick Hornby (same author of High Fidelity and About a Boy), the film revolves around the four desperate people with suicidal plans: a pizza delivery man (Paul), a presenter of the auditorium (Brosnan) program , a teenage girl (Poots) and the mother of a child with disabilities (Colette). They all claim to skip the same building at the turn of the New Year, but end up finding each other in strength to overcome their personal problems. Writer Jack Thorne (Skins series) wrote the story.
