Fantasy adventure about the arrival of Buddhism in China. When the Goddess of Happiness tosses
the Longevity Monk and his disciples out of heaven (because the Monkey King tried to attain immortality),
the Monkey King is reincarnated as the Joker. He now spends his time chasing two jealous women. When one
of them is dying, the Joker goes back in time in an attempt to save her.

Film na podstawie znanej chińskiej bajki"Podróż na Wschód". Jest to jedna z ciekawszych interpretacji tej bajki.
Film opowiada o przygodach Małpiego Króla, który został ukarany przez bogów i narodził się na nowo jako zwykły śmiertelnik.
Od tej pory legendarny Małpi Król w świecie ludzi jest Jokerem i prostym złodziejem. Jednak wkrótce Joker
(Stephen Chow) odkryje prawdę i wyruszy w daleką podróż (również w czasie) by znowu stać się Królem. Oczywiście przeżyje
nie jedną przygodę i napewno napotka na swojej drodze wielu wrogów z którymi będzie musiał walczyć.W tej drugiej sprawie
