The eight-episode documentary saw the filming crew visit 150 different parts of China to film the food-gathering techniques of various ethnic groups over the course of a year. More than 300 types of food are covered in the documentary.
The first season of "A Bite of China", which consisted of seven episodes, aired on China Central Television in 2012 and attracted high ratings during its nightly broadcasts, drawing an estimated 100 million viewers.
"A Bite of China 2" is to hit China Central Television's Channel One (CCTV-1) from April 18 and will be a weekly broadcasting program.
