"I first stumbled upon 9 lazy 9 5 years ago. I was gigging in Italy and after a late night jam I went out looking for some action. J.B. and K9 were slammin' in the basement of a dingy jazz club off Via Santorini in the dub quarter of Rome. The air was thick with bass heavy, smoke burnished hard bop beats whilst the "Lazies" grooved on stage. Instantly I knew something completely fresh & original had started. I could feel a brand new technological vibe. I sat back in a dark corner & rolled a fat one. When I came back to earth the club was dark, the band & the punters had gone. " ~~ Alexi Q.
