Description
"8 BIT THEATER" Web Comic
"8 Bit Theater" (nuklearpower.com/8-bit-theater/) is a sprite comic created by Brian Clevinger, which ran from March of 2001 through June of 2010. The plot of the comic is loosely based on that of the video game "Final Fantasy," in which four adventurers, the Light Warriors, must save the world by defeating four powerful demons that represent the four elements and then defeating the personification of evil, Chaos. However, while many of the original plot points and characters are present, the way they come about in the comic is often radically different from the game. The Light Warriors themselves tend to cause far more harm than good on their travels, and generally have to be blackmailed, bribed or threatened into accepting quests. The comic is also not a serious epic, and the protagonists and many of the supporting characters are parodies of role-playing video game stereotypes. Much of the humor in "8-Bit Theater" is derived from the ineptitude of the characters as well as from the interactions of the four protagonists who are travelling together but do not actually like each other very much. This torrent collects the entire run of "8 Bit Theater" comics, from 2001 through 2010. The comics are compiled into a set of CBR files, one for each chapter of the story. Sharing Widget |
