4Peaks is an application, which helps molecular biologists to visualize and edit their DNA sequence files. With 4Peaks you can analyze trace files on the Mac OS X platform. The application also supports most commonly used sequence file formats out of the box, so you no longer have to convert them first using AppleScripts.

Key Features Include:

Reading and writing of most common trace file formats, including ABI, SCF, CTR, ALF and ZTR.
Direct access to both sequence and translation.
Ability to edit and correct the sequence. Keep interesting parts only, or export your data as text or FASTA files.
Quickly search for a sequence or translation, navigate through your file by selecting pieces of either sequence or translation.
System requirements:Intel/PPC OS X 10.3 or later.
