Stage Profile: The fourth stage takes the race from Holland to Belgium. It will also allow people to experience an authentic sporting spectacle by transporting the emotion of classic spring races into a competition as different as the Vuelta, a 3-week race in which the specialist riders will have to keep a keen eye on the all-rounders. It will be a day of both nerves and attacks. That is the only thing that can be guaranteed.



The stage, which takes place on Tuesday, September 1st, covers some 225 kilometres and includes two climbs of the "Cauberg" (which traditionally forms part of the Amstel Gold Race) and, once in Belgium, a climb of “Teux”. The stage’s final circuit will also include a climb of Saint-Nicolas. In this way, the Vuelta not only joins two countries - Holland and Belgium, but also liks the previously-mentioned Amstel circuit and part of the Lieja-Bastona-Lieja circuit in one single day.
