Louise advises Janet to throw out some of Jonny’s things in order to get over her loss. Janet shows Louise a box of Jonny’s old love letters; Louise finds a letter from the hospital addressed to Jonny. Janet takes most of Jonny’s possessions to the charity shop where she reveals to Donna that she actually isn’t coping well with her loss. Louise decides to keep the letter a secret as it reveals that Jonny had had a DNA test which showed that he was not Corinthian’s father. However, she eventually shows it to Gaz. Meanwhile Janet becomes interested in Munch. 6 Six Months Later - 24 February 2008 Louise is now nine months pregnant but doesn’t think the baby shows. Finding a pile of neglected post, it is discovered that the rent hasn’t been paid and Janet is about to be evicted. Meanwhile, Donna is fed up with The Archer and wants to move into area management, and eagerly awaits a phone call in relation to an interview. To help Janet, Louise finds Aidan, who has just robbed a Post Office and as a result is rich. At the same time, Gaz wants himself and Donna to buy Janet’s house, but Donna is not enthusiastic, preferring a more upmarket property. In the end, however, she relents but her hopes of promotion are dashed. 7 African Death Face - 2 March 2008 Donna and Gaz are now living in Janet’s house, and because she doesn’t understand management-speak, Donna’s job interview doesn’t go well. Janet and Gaz are left alone and rekindle old desires. Meanwhile, Louise is preparing for her baby’s birth but in Donna’s absence ends up being her own birthing-partner. Janet realises she and Gaz should stay together but Donna returns from a successful interview and tells Gaz they are moving to London. 8 Borry - 9 March 2008 Gaz is not keen on moving south with Donna, and has fallen in love with Janet; Donna has met a new man called Wesley in London and wants to move on from Gaz. However, Gaz lets slip that he and Janet are in love, and Donna throws beer over them but eventually realises that Janet and Gaz belong together, because they are “scum” — but in a nice way. Meanwhile Louise is about to give birth, aided only by Munch, and produces (in The Archer) a beautiful girl whom she names “Louise Louise Brooks”, although she tells Munch the name is “Louise Munch Brooks”. Gaz and Donna part on ostensibly good terms, and the episode closes with flashbacks of moments throughout the series, to the background of Avril Lavigne’s “When You’re Gone”.
