This is the US CD maxi-single (Atlantic 7 86427-2), ripped to FLAC in August 2015. One of Pettibone's more drastic TR 909-based beef-ups, utilizing a TB-303 sample from Armando & Mike Dunn's 1988 acid house track "World Unknown". In 1989, house music was beginning to cross over from being associated mainly with black artists to competing with the established electro/Latin freestyle sound that was popular in mainstream clubs and on weekend dance radio shows. Thus, there were two sets of mixes released, for each type of sound. Although the "electro"/"electric" mixes are mostly freestyle, they both have elements of the house mixes in them, with the freestyle dub version "going haywire" and eventually transforming into an acid house mix. Creative as the dub is, it suffers a bit from the dated orchestral stabs and endless samples of Gibson's voice. Related Torrents
