This is the US 12" (Sire/I Square 9 40274-0) ripped to 16/44.1 FLAC in July 2014, with additional manual declicking in May 2015.

Coming from the diverse Manhattan dance club scene of the mid-'80s, the music on this record is representative of Book of Love's dramatic sound: dense, alternative synth-pop with distinctively layered monotone female vocals, strong melodies and harmonies, and a preference for bell and chime sounds. Regardless of your gender, you were probably introduced to this band through a girl you had the hots for.

Three decades, and still no re-release of these mixes! It would cost nothing to put them on Bandcamp, yet the recordings seem to be abandoned. It's apparently up to us to help preserve them as long as it's possible to do so.
