Ronald Theodore Kirk aka Rahsaan Roland Kirk (1935-1977) is known for both creating unusual reed instruments and for playing them in combination.
This could easily be dismissed as sideshow antics but the man had a great affinity for the blues. An intense artist in the realm of a Mingus or Roach.

As an indication of just how FAR OUT Kirk was, one of his recordings (which I own) has a long period of absolute silence (appx 15 minutes) as a part of the tune. I'll leave the analysis of that for somebody else.

Kirk has a cult following and most of his albums have been uploaded in most of the codecs save this one, his second album as leader; released originally on the ARGO label.
